Just took the metro red line and I'm on my way to universal studios. I gotta say, this redline station and the train cars are a lot more spacious.

I just arrived to the LA Station about an hour earlier. The sky is really cloudy and looks kinda like china in regards to haziness.

Most Sincere Apologies

OK I thought I was a failure before, but now that I see that I havent posted anything in a while just seems sad. I know my problem. I cant commit. GAAAH!

In other news, it seems like up until now all Ive been writing is about work. My life is boring, at least right now it is. This is the kind of time i wish i was in school, that way I'll at least be doing something like marching band (WHOOP WHOOP). But the crap part to that story is that once school starts picking up, I don't want to do it anymore, and then i wish it was time for vacation. Its the never ending cycle of life.

Also in the news:
  • Birthday's coming up. and i have no idea what i want to do.
  • Trip to Calif is also coming up. I needsta save up so that means i gotta quit spending money like i have a real job that pays every week!

Hopefully my boss can let me take two weeks off for the trip. I don't think its much, seeing as i never ask for days off unless its school related. and what with the budget cuts she might be glad to pay one less person. And I'm gonna have to admit: I'm going to miss those kids!

Whatta Day

Ive only just started this blog and already I have failed. I have been keeping up with the posts everyday except for yesterday, for which i am sorry.

So now another long recap

Yesterday (Thursday) was my first day of working at [place where i work] full time. Mind you, i started working there last June, and had always worked part time because of school, maybe like 17 hours a week at the most. But yesterday i started at 12 and didn't get off til 8. the day started off okay until the assistant manager-lady came down from her throne to confront me about a missing letter of rec. I had already turned in two and i thought that was enough; i was mistaken. (Friday was when the officials decided they would run an inspection and wanted to have all paper work on each of the employees)

The assistant manager walks up to me and says, "did you bring the letter of recommendation like we asked?" And i told her that i was not able to get it from my old teacher. And boom. Her face turned into that of an ogre's and just stared at me with disgust. This went on for about 5 seconds. Then she says, "You knew it had to be turned in. You could of got it from anyone."

Pause right there. What is wrong with that last sentence? You could have got it from anyone? If she knew anything, she would have known that 1) you cant ask someone for a letter of recommendation on the day before you actually need it and 2) you really cant just ask anyone! That's what infuriated me the most. Here she is acting all tall and mighty when she has no clue on professionalism.

OK, now press play. After that last sentence, she continued on staring at me. I wasn't having it. I knew that i had to stand up to her Just as i was saying you cant just ask anyone and turned around on her heel at once and stormed off. That ruined my day completely.

Today was an ordinary 12-7 work day. Nothing too big happened except an emergency meeting about our hours being cut and people getting fired. My boss pretty much said that everyone that was at the meeting was keeping their job because they are her best workers. Then she told me that my new hours are from 10am-2pm and that i was going to work with my co-worker that i had previously worked with. This may sound like relatively no hours at all but i was glad go back to working part time and i get to work with my best friend!
Today wasnt a complete waste either; got new hours AND got nominated for Marie Curie fellowship
Just when i thought things could get worse, they actually got better. Be back later for more on this scoop!

Cleaning

Currently wearing: Pj's
Currently listening to: The Peacocks, Untitled Ska
Current Mood: Hungry

Woke up early today (early for vacation would be 9 o'clock!) to start cleaning. My job briefing included fold my clothes from the laundry room, clean my room, and to clean the main floor bathroom. I have to remember to have that bathroom cleaned regularly! There was about a month and a half's worth of soap scum in the sink and a layer of dirt on the floor. I know, its disgusting so I'll stop.

I have to go into work today a half hour early for a meeting. I have a feeling that some people are going to be reprimanded. I just hope im not in that boat. We're also supposed to get our hours for the summer. I'm kind of not hoping for working full time just because I know that it will be extremely tiring. It also sounds like i wont have time to do anything. Well, I guess i'll have to wait to find out.

First official entry

i wouldn't consider that first entry a real entry. It was merely a recap. So now that leaves no choice but to post up a true entry! Here it goes:

Today was a house-cleaning day to get the house tidied up for my dad's aunt (she's my grandmas sister, so would that make her my grandaunt?), who is coming on Wednesday night. She will be staying in my room, so i had to do a massive cleaning/straightening up, which took two hours. before i knew it, it was time for work. Usually after work, i come home and eat some dinner, watch tv, maybe go outside and enjoy mother nature, watch more tv/computer, and then go to sleep. Today was no exception, although it was much too chilly to be outside (65 degrees F is too cold considering its June!).

Having said that, one could conclude that it was indeed a boring day in my life. GAAH!

My summer chronicals

OK, guys. This is my first blog and therefore my first blog post. What better way than to start by chronicling my summer vacation? Well, here goes nothing.

So far, i would say my summer has started off kinda slow. I got out of school second week of may (yeah, i got so bored i decided to pass time by writing my 'adventures' here). So here's a recap on what has happened:

On my first week of break, i was ordered to scrape my garage. Yes, scrape, as in scrape the peeling paint off the walls. Who does that anymore? Don't people have siding on their garage now? Its been like the 50th time I've done it. Did i mention that it had to be done in the morning just so i can get a shower in before i go to work? Oh, and speaking of work, i started working 17.5 hours a week that week now that I'm out of school.

On my second week off from school, i began the painting of the garage. Not as bad as scraping, but I'd much rather be inside watching cartoons and lounging around, enjoying my vacation.

With the third and fourth weeks, i pretty much got away with doing any type of yard work and just lounged around my house, so i guess that was a plus. The one thing i haven't done as of yet is hanging out with my friends whom i graduated with last June. i miss them, and i hope i get to hang with them in the near, near future. As for my friends who are in high school, i got to visit them, even went to the amusement park with them. still, i wish that i lived closer to them (both grads and h.s'ers) so that we could hang out more frequently and not pay a fortune on gas/bus fare to get together.

These first two weeks of June have not proved to be any different; i am still lounging around the house with nothing to do, then heading off to work. The only thing different was that i got to babysit my sisters dog for three days and four nights.

This week (second week of June) started off nicely. I started off with an event-filled weekend. On Friday i went to a high school graduation (from the h.s i attended). On Saturday I went out to eat with my sister and some friends. Sunday was the day that i had to go to my cousins graduation party, which was OK and had good food! And finally Monday was my brother's graduation, after which we went out to eat at my favorite restaurant!

So yeah that was my recap on my summer so far.
